Building A Sustainable Future
Rethinking Energy Use for a Low-Carbon Future
According to UN Climate Change, limiting warming to 1.5°C requires emissions to peak by 2025 and fall 43% by 2030. Against this backdrop, GEAF convened its inaugural seminar, Building a Sustainable Future.
GEAF convened its inaugural seminar, Building a Sustainable Future: Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction, at the Maison Internationale de l’Environnement II in Geneva. The event brought together participants, online viewers, and expert speakers from the University of Geneva, 2050Today, and Climate Neutral Sports to raise awareness of energy conservation, emissions reduction, and practical pathways toward low-carbon living.
The seminar also served as an educational platform, highlighting Switzerland’s experience in energy transition, renewable energy, carbon reduction strategies, and the role of partnerships in advancing climate action. Through expert presentations, interactive discussions, and livestreamed access, the event connected local engagement in Geneva with broader global efforts to support sustainable practices and collective climate responsibility.
