The first edition of the 4.29 Green Earth Action Day marked the culmination of four months of preparation for GEAF’s first cohort of GEAF Ambassadors. On 29 April 2025, GEAF Ambassadors implemented their local actions across 15 countries.

Throughout the day, GEAF Ambassadors led activities such as tree planting, clean-ups, environmental education workshops, awareness campaigns, and other sustainability-focused actions adapted to their local contexts. Joining live from their respective countries, they showcased the diversity of their communities, cultures, languages, and lived realities. Across this diversity, one shared message emerged: environmental protection, diversity, and peace can be advanced through collective, locally grounded action.

Impact

The first edition of the 4.29 Green Earth Action Day achieved substantial reach and engagement. Supported by a network of more than 250 volunteers, 18 GEAF Ambassadors implemented activities across 15 locations on 4 continents, mobilizing over 1,000 participants worldwide. Together, these initiatives resulted in more than 2,500 trees planted and over 6,000 kg of waste collected with the help of more than 40 local partners.
